Job Description

About the Organization

We are the pulse of Asian football. Our mission is to spearhead the growth of the world's most popular sport across the continent. We are looking for a Finance Executive to join our Finance Department.

Role Overview

The Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the Finance Department by ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with AFC policies and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure all supporting documents and approvals are complete.
  • Record invoices and payments accurately in NetSuite.
  • Create and maintain vendor records in the system.
  • Process payments through online banking and cheque.
  • Verify payment details before submission for approval.
  • Perform vendor and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain proper filing of financial documents for audit and record-keeping purposes.
  • Record bank transactions using the correct accounting codes.
  • Prepare finance-related letters, reports, payment documents, and other accounting records.
  • Support the implementation of finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Liaise with internal departments, vendors, auditors, and banks on finance-related matters.
  • Assist with month-end activities and other ad hoc duties assigned by the Financial Controller.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in using NetSuite (ERP system) is an added advantage.
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of financial regulations
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with an eye for details.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and oral
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to manage time and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data and a team player.

Duration

  • This is a 6-month temporary role, which may be extended depending on business requirements.
