Position Summary
Responsible for Finance functions of the Straumann Malaysia and Singapore legal entities. As an integral part of the local management team, the incumbent is required to have strong business partnering skills and a proven track record in managing Accounting, Tax and Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, for a multinational company. Strong leadership skills are also essential to develop high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a business partner to the country leader, supporting strategy development, execution, and performance measurement
- Translate business strategies and financial targets into actionable goals for leaders across different functions within the organization
- Articulate business results to audiences at different levels
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the business and the ability to highlight potential risks and opportunities for the local leadership team based on analytics and interpretation of financials and metrics
- Liaise with Europe-based HQ and APAC teams on local business issues
- Assimilate financial and non-financial information to influence short, medium, and long-term decision-making
- Drive business growth through accurate forecasting and insightful analysis
- Lead the development and preparation of the 5-year strategic financial plan, annual operating budget, and monthly financial forecasts
- Analyze country financial performance and support commercial leaders in driving revenue growth, optimizing distribution channels, managing spending, and improving margins and productivity
- Prepare monthly and quarterly business performance reviews
- Track key KPIs and profitability by segment and channel
- Develop metrics to track the progress of new initiatives
- Perform ROI analysis to support investment decisions
- Manage accounting operations for the local entities and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and Straumann Group standards
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger jointly with APAC Shared Services team (Financial Shared Service Center FSSC)
- Work with FSSC to ensure timely closing for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end
- Prepare financial reports to meet requirements at all levels
- Work with external auditors on internal control and annual audits as required
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards
- Support tax filing and statutory reporting
- Review AR aging and manage overdue balances; Coordinate with FSSC for collections follow-up
- Manage bad debt provision and write-offs
- Manage payroll, banking, and cash flow forecasting
- Demonstrate strong leadership to build high-performing teams

Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis for manufacturing and commercial operations within a sizeable multinational company
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA / ACCA or equivalent certification a plus
- Strong business partnering skills with strategic thinking and data-driven analytical capabilities
- Demonstrated track record of driving process improvement
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for results
- SAP ERP system experience
- Advanced Excel skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate regional time zones and business needs.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Proficiency in spoken Chinese is required; ability to read and write Chinese is an advantage.
