Your role and responsibilities

As a Finance Specialist -Accounts Receivable / Payable, you will be part of the Country Finance, based in Malaysia. ABB is World's No.1 in Power Products Business and the product manufactured becomes the key components to transmit and distribute electricity. The division incorporates ABB's manufacturing network for Transformers, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Cables and associated equipment. It also offers all the services needed to ensure products performance and extend their lifespan. You will be a vital member of the finance team within the Country Finance in Malaysia. You will ensure completeness of timely and accurate of the accounting activities performed in compliance with internal guidelines and procedures and external regulatory requirements.

The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid

This role is contributing to the Country Finance based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia .

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • This role provides dedicated finance operational support for the business carve-out post Day 0, ensuring smooth mirror invoicing for non-novated contracts, back-charge handling, and end-to-end billing during the transition period and ongoing steady-state operations. The role is critical to maintain financial accuracy, ensure compliance with e-Invoicing requirements, and intercompany flows for the carve-out business. Managing payment receipts and allocations, accurately applying payments to customer accounts, and resolving any payment-related issues or inquiries promptly.

  • Mirror Invoicing - End-to-End Ownership.

  • Back-Charge & Intercompany Billing.

  • AR End-to-End Process for Business Carve-Out.

  • AP/AR Accounting & Reconciliations.

  • Compliance, Controls & Audit Readiness.

  • Project Work & Continuous Improvement.


Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Accountancy/Business with 2-5 years relevant experience in AR/AP/O2C/Intercompany processes.

  • Proficient in SAP FICO and Microsoft office application.

  • Experience in carve-out environments, shared services is an added advantage.

  • Independent and able to meet tight deadline.

  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask.
