Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Financial Controller, based in Kepong,WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Financial Controller will oversee the preparation of financial statements, manage financial reporting processes, and ensure regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include analyzing financial data, providing strategic insights to support decision-making, and optimizing financial performance. Additionally, the Financial Controller will lead accounting operations, manage budgets, and ensure accurate and timely reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the Group's financial reporting complies with MFRS, MASB standards and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
  • Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting and Group consolidation.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts and operational KPIs.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process across the Group.
  • Review and manage Group cash flow projections and financial sustainability.
  • Strengthen internal controls, financial governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Manage corporate tax planning and regulatory compliance, including liaison with tax authorities.
  • Coordinate with government agencies (e.g. MITI, MIDA) on grants, incentives and new business initiatives.
  • Lead the external audit process and ensure effective financial risk management.
  • Support annual report preparation and strategic financial analysis for Management and the Board.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • 1012 years of relevant experience, with exposure to public listed company reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of MFRS, financial reporting standards and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
  • Experience in Group consolidation, budgeting and financial planning.
  • Good understanding of corporate tax planning and government incentives.
  • Experience managing external audits, internal controls and financial governance.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with ERP/SAP systems will be an added advantage.
