Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to oversee the company's financial operations, strengthen governance frameworks, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial management, reporting, and compliance, while also acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership. This role requires a balance of technical finance skills, risk management, and business insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee financial governance, internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage group consolidation and preparation of statutory, management, and board-level reports.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support operational and strategic planning.
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide financial analysis and insights that inform business strategy and decision-making.
  • Review and improve financial processes, policies, and systems, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the finance function.
  • Manage audit, tax, and statutory compliance, serving as primary liaison with auditors, tax authorities, and regulators.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring capability, performance, and succession planning.
  • Support strategic projects, including investment evaluations, cost optimization initiatives, and business transformation exercises.

Key Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) with substantial post-qualification experience is preffered.
  • Proven experience in a financial controllership or senior finance role, preferably in multi-entity or regional operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/MFRS), statutory compliance, and governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making at the executive level.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, OneStream) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building high-performing finance teams.
