The Financial Risk Group (FRG) is a global consulting firm headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, with its APAC office in Kuala Lumpur. We specialize in financial risk management and regulatory technology. We partner with banks and insurers to design, build, and implement risk, finance, and regulatory platforms using advanced analytics, SAS technologies, and modern open-source tools.

What is the NEET Training Program
The New Employee Excellence Training (NEET) Program is a full-time, paid training program for recent graduates and early-career professionals entering financial risk and technology consulting. The structured first phase runs about 13 weeks and covers:
- Base and Advanced SAS programming, with both SAS certifications taken during the program
- The GARP Financial Risk and Regulation (FRR) certification, covering credit, market, operational, and asset-liability risk
- Linux, Git, and FRG coding standards
- A first ticket on a live internal project and a presentation to the office
- Introductory sessions from senior consultants on FRG, financial risk management, SAS software, project management, and quality assurance
After the structured phase you join a project team as an Assistant Consultant and continue learning on the job. Start dates are rolling, so you can begin as soon as you are available.
In this role you will:
- Develop proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, and related tools
- Obtain professional certifications in technology and risk management, paid for by FRG
- Learn core financial risk management concepts and regulatory frameworks (IFRS 9, Basel III, stress testing)
- Understand risk platform architecture and how to optimize risk analytic processes
- Apply best-practice coding standards, unit testing, debugging, and quality assurance
- Work with senior consultants on client projects across Malaysia and the region
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with strong academic results
- 0 to 2 years of work experience; fresh graduates welcome
- Some programming exposure in any language (coursework counts)
- Malaysian citizen or permanent resident, or existing authorization to work in Malaysia
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Able to work in our Kuala Lumpur office full time, Monday to Friday, and travel up to 25% of the time
