Job Description
Job Purpose:
Lead and direct the divisional operations of Investment Banking (IB), Asset Management, Corporate Credit Management (CCMD), Trade Finance and Payments Operations with the objective of achieving optimum returns on investment and increase shareholder's value through effective and efficient utilization of Company's resources by supporting the revenue generation activities: adhering to the prescribed rules and regulations as a Participating Organisation and the Company's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing Processes / Development of the Operations Department
- Reports directly to the GCOO on all operational matters of the Bank and of responsible for the operations of CCMD, Payment Operations, Trade Finance, Operations IB and Operations of MIDF Asset Management.
2. Risk Assessment on Strategic Planning Matters
- To ensure the conduct of risk management on the credit and market risk are relevant and up to date.
- Periodic review of all operational procedures and workflows, to enforce changes to processes where relevant to manage better trade-off between risk and returns.
3. Troubleshooting
- Troubleshooting issues and resolve problems whenever they arise.
4. Client Satisfaction / Handling of Complaints
- Conduct client relations with high standard of service to attain client satisfaction and retention.
5. Compliance
- Ensure all deals are in compliance with the rules and regulations set out by the Securities Commission, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, Bank Negara Malaysia and other relevant regulatory authorities.
- Attend to queries by relevant regulatory authorities and external auditors.
6. Administration
- Responsible for the selection of suitable candidates for the job under supervision and to ensure they are fully well versed with their function and responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Qualification: University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or related field
- Experience: Experience 10 to 15 years experience in either the stockbroking or financial industry, of which at least 8 years in a senior management position.
