Job Purpose

The role of Head is to strategies and implement targets to meet the goals and requirements outlined by the management and protect the Bank's interest at all times through develop marketing strategies and solicit business, diversify through new-to-bank relationships, cross-sell the Bank's products and capabilities to corporate sector entities while maintaining cost-to-income discipline.

Accountabilities

Manage, monitor and grow Contract & Vendor Financing portfolio:

  • Responsible for managing portfolio of existing customers with optimization of revenue through sound credit evaluation, wallet sizing and account planning.
  • Enhance existing accounts/business portfolio and source/solicit for new accounts/business under targeted business segments and provide value-added banking solutions.
  • Grow P&L by maximizing earning potential, review and monitor revenue performance through effective client planning.
  • Work closely with product partners and other business units to induce cross-selling of products.
  • Reinforce a continuous improvement mind-set by initiating innovative8 and achievable solutions that could become a benchmark for the industry.
  • Monitor the daily operations and management functions of correspondent banking.
  • Monitor and promote higher utilization and good conduct of accounts.
  • Review and mitigate risk and group exposure.

Manage Customer Account Relationship

  • Understand customer business and related industries.
  • Be extra sensitive to customers needs so that effective activities can be planned and organized for them.
  • Constantly improved business skills and develop relationship.
  • Monitor and review the account relationship and performance vis's vis account profitability.

Compliance on the operating procedures and guidelines of the Unit:

  • Ensure compliance with work process, BNM and Bank's internal policies and guidelines and provide feedback to ensure better efficiency.
  • Provide input on projects embarked by the Bank which may impact the customers to ensure business continuity.

Anti-money Laundering Compliance

  • Manage the application of internal programs and procedures including proper maintenance of records and to report suspicious transactions.

Staff Development And Disciplines

  • Build a high performance culture by promoting individual and collective ownerships and accountability of outcomes. This includes to inculcate high discipline work ethic.
  • Constantly improve business skills and participate in any recommended training program.
  • Maintain high level of integrity and disciplines.

Skills, Knowledge & Personal Characteristics & Behaviour

  • Able to work independently with high degree of commitment and integrity.
  • Ability to monitor and delegate targets to staff in order to achieve financial targets and compliance.
  • Be proactive and comprehensive in delivering content to senior internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Familiarity with banking procedure, policies and guidelines both internally and externally with a thorough understanding of the client's industry, business cycles and other relevant factors.
  • Possess strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills and result oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills and able to demonstrate good potential.
  • Assertive personality, initiative and innovative.
  • Maturity in decision and problem solving.
  • Ability to think strategically.
