About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to lead our Group Financial Reporting function at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of Group financial reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with regulatory and reporting standards. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to support reporting to the Board, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), and Bursa Malaysia, while upholding strong governance and financial integrity.
What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare and oversee the monthly closing of Group Accounts for reporting to the Board, BNM, and Bursa Malaysia
- Ensure all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Review and validate financial statements and disclosures at the Group level
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and business units to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data
- Monitor and implement updates to accounting standards and BNM guidelines, ensuring ongoing compliance
- Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks related to financial reporting
- Support audits and regulatory reviews, ensuring all requirements are met efficiently
- Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes and systems
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in financial reporting, preferably within the banking or financial services industry
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including BNM guidelines
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end financial closing and reporting processes
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams
- Professional qualification in Accounting (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred
- Highly driven, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of financial integrity
