We are looking for an experienced and strategic communications leader to drive global public relations and stakeholder engagement efforts across key markets, with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), MENA, and RCIS regions.
This role will act as a key bridge between the organisation and the global media landscape, shaping reputation, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and ensuring consistent, impactful communication across all regions, within a business model built on independent distributors, entrepreneurial networks, and community-driven growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Global PR Strategy & Leadership
- Lead and execute the global public relations strategy, ensuring alignment across regional teams and external agencies.
- Drive consistent, high-impact, and brand-aligned communications across all key markets.
Reputation & Media Engagement
- Strengthen the company's reputation through proactive media engagement, thought leadership, and advocacy initiatives.
- Position the organisation as a responsible, ethical, and innovative leader within the direct selling industry.
Regional Support & Execution
- Partner closely with regional PR leads and business teams to develop and execute locally relevant communication strategies.
- Provide guidance on stakeholder engagement, reputational risk management, and crisis communications.
Crisis & Issues Management
- Anticipate and manage potential reputational risks.
- Lead crisis communication efforts, working closely with Legal and Compliance to ensure timely and effective responses.
Government & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support senior leadership and regional teams in government relations, regulatory communications, and public affairs initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, Events, and other internal teams to ensure integrated and consistent messaging across campaigns and initiatives.
Thought Leadership & Content Development
- Oversee the creation of high-quality content including executive communications, media statements, and opinion pieces.
- Position the organisation as a trusted voice in the industry.
Performance & Insights
- Leverage data and emerging tools (including AI) to monitor media trends, measure PR effectiveness, and generate actionable insights.
- Report on media coverage, sentiment, and campaign performance to senior leadership.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop regional communications teams, fostering alignment, capability-building, and best practices globally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in public relations and communications, preferably in a regional or global capacity.
- Experience in crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, and media relations is essential.
- Prior experience in direct selling, network marketing, or working with distributor-based / agent-driven business models is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the reputational landscape and regulatory considerations related to direct selling is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g., French, Arabic, Russian) are an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
