As the Head of Sales - Malaysia, this role is responsible for driving sustainable sales growth and strengthening brand equity through the effective execution of the Sales AOP. The position oversees sales performance management, distribution and channel development, and cross-functional coordination with Supply Chain and Marketing to ensure accurate forecasting, optimal supply, and market competitiveness. The role also focuses on market and competitor analysis, pricing effectiveness, and building a high-performing, consultative sales organization through strong leadership, coaching, and talent development.
What You'll Do
Drive Growth & Increase Brand Equity
- You will consolidate and execute the Sales Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- You will regularly track and analyze sales performance and gross profit by brand, channel, and customer.
- You will coordinate closely with Supply Chain and Marketing to deliver accurate forecasts and ensure adequate supply capability.
Distribution Growth & Channel Development
- You will develop and execute the distribution strategy to achieve business targets.
- You will monitor distribution coverage, channel penetration, and business growth.
- You will optimize distribution models to maximize channel effectiveness and market reach.
Market & Competitive Analysis
- You will analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify risks and opportunities.
- You will evaluate the effectiveness of strategic and tactical sales initiatives to meet market demands.
- You will collaborate with Marketing and Pricing teams to influence, implement, and control pricing policies.
Sales Force Development & Leadership
- You will develop the sales force, in partnership with HR, into a best-in-class consultative team with the right balance of sell-in and sell-out activities.
- You will lead, motivate, coach, and supervise team members to drive high performance and accountability.
- You will provide guidance on problem-solving, monitor and evaluate performance, and recommend promotions, recognition, and competency development.
- You will coach and mentor team members and support their professional growth.
- You will conduct regular performance reviews, development planning, and appraisals in line with HR processes.
- You will hold regular formal and informal meetings with team members to ensure alignment and engagement.
- You will lead the integration of multiple sales teams and facilitate joint planning sessions with cross-functional partners.
