About This Role

The HR Business Partner will report to the HR Manager ASIA and will be primarily responsible for providing a thorough and strategic approach to the HR support of business leaders within the organization.  This position will act as a primary point of contact for supporting business lines in a variety of HR functions, while aligning with the overall business strategy of the organization.  The focus will be offering HR support with a consultative approach to business specific initiatives, aligning these with internal policies and federal and state regulatory HR compliance, while achieving best practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Build strong consultative business relationships with hiring managers, business leaders andto helpdevelop and implement communication and executing plans for updated policies and new employment legislation
  • Develop an understanding ofthe moneytransfer and digital businesses, strategic plans and priorities and collaborate with HR leadership, to translate this into HR work-streams to develop an aligned HR strategy and business plan
  • Collaborate with other HR stakeholders in reviewing process workflows and identifying opportunities for efficiencies, including but not limited to:  reviewing forms, documentation templates and developing / updating current content to meet business needs. Will require an annual review of all associated policies, procedures and disciplinary process to ensure it is consistently being followed
  • Provides full HR support to the both corporate and retail client group, including but not limitedto:  employee relations, workplace investigations, coaching, performance management, compensation inquiries and leaves of absence 
  • Proactively conducts thorough research of state laws for new work sites and reports legal requirements and associated risks to ensure compliance, prior to new work site(s) opening.
  • Collaborateswith HR leadership team to ensure complianceofemployment regulations standards
  • Collaborateswith HR leadership team in effectively communicating new legislation and action items company-wide, to support new policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge-shares and promotes a continuous learning and development approach to coaching and advising leadership and staff members
  • Conductspresentations andprovidescompliance training as necessary tohiringmanagers

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience with experince in employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations and HR compliance
  • Proficient knowledge of employment regulations in Malaysia, including Sabah & Sarawak Ordinance. Other countries employment regulations exposure is an added value!
  • Bilingual is preferred - Malay and English, and additional proficiency is celebrated.
  • Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment. Travel to retail locations within assigned region, may require additional travelling as business needs arise.
