Job SummaryThe HR Manager will be responsible for leading and executing the company's human resources strategy across operations in Malaysia. This role supports business growth by driving effective talent management, ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour laws, strengthening employee engagement, and building a high-performance culture within a fast-paced logistics environment.
The HR Manager will act as a key business partner to operational leaders, providing strategic and hands-on HR support across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities1. HR Strategy & Business Partnering
Partner with the Country Head of HR to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Advise management on organisational design, manpower planning, and workforce optimisation.
Support leadership in change management initiatives across logistics operations.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Lead end-to-end recruitment for operational, commercial, and support roles.
Develop hiring plans to support business expansion and operational needs.
Strengthen employer branding in the logistics and supply chain sector.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
Manage employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Drive employee engagement initiatives to improve retention and morale.
Ensure consistent application of HR policies across sites and departments.
4. Performance Management & Talent Development
Oversee performance management cycles, goal setting, and appraisals.
Identify training needs and support leadership development programmes.
Build succession plans for key roles within the organisation.
5. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support
Support compensation reviews, benchmarking, and benefits administration.
Work closely with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely processing.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
6. HR Compliance & Governance
Ensure full compliance with Malaysian labour laws and industrial regulations.
Maintain HR policies, SOPs, and documentation standards.
Manage audits, HR reporting, and statutory submissions.
7. HR Operations & Systems
Improve HR processes, systems, and reporting efficiency.
Oversee HR administration, records management, and employee data accuracy.
Support digitalisation and HR system enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 710 years of HR experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations-driven industries.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and labour practices.
- Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment with multi-site workforce.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Hands-on, practical, and business-oriented HR professional.
