Role Description
- Establish and continuously enhance the end-to-end HR framework in Malaysia, covering talent acquisition, development, retention, compensation & benefits, leadership pipeline, organizational effectiveness, and HR compliance
- Drive recruitment strategy and execution by expanding hiring channels, ensuring timely and quality talent acquisition, and managing onboarding, training, and probation processes to meet key staffing goals
- Translate business strategy into effective performance management systems; lead performance reviews, drive accountability, and ensure follow-through on performance improvement and outcomes
- Conduct regular talent reviews and engagement initiatives; identify, develop, and optimize key talent through promotions, rotations, and succession planning
- Maintain accurate HR records and deliver timely HR reports and insights to support data-driven decision-making
- Act as a bridge between China HQ and local teams, fostering strong cross-cultural collaboration, employee engagement, and a positive workplace culture
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on HR leadership experience in Malaysia, preferably in manufacturing, building materials, or sales-driven organizations
- Experience supporting Chinese companies expanding overseas (0–1 setup) is a strong advantage
- Strong business acumen with proven experience across recruitment, training & development, compensation & benefits, and performance management
- Solid knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR practices
- Fluent in English, Malay and Chinese (Mandarin) to support cross-border communication
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
