Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infra & Security team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in infrastructure technologies, server provisioning, virtualization, and network operations, as well as a strong focus on security and compliance, including but not limited to SSL management. You will work closely with our DevOps and development teams to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain complex infrastructure systems in on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain a wide range of infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies.
- Monitor infrastructure systems and implement proactive measures to ensure stability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the infrastructure systems meet their needs and requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure systems, including standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
- Ensure infrastructure systems meet security and compliance requirements.
- Identify and recommend new infrastructure technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and processes for infrastructure systems.
- Provide training and support to other teams on the use and maintenance of infrastructure systems.
- Participate in standby rotation for infrastructure systems support and incident response.
- Manage infrastructure operations, including provisioning, monitoring, and cost optimization.
- Ensure network operations are efficient and effective, including load balancing, firewalls, and DNS management.
- Participate in security and compliance audits, and develop remediation plans for any findings.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures for infrastructure systems, including SSL certificates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, security, server operations or a related field.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies. (VMWare, etc)
- Experience with both on-prem and cloud infrastructure providers, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for infrastructure systems, including SSL.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools, such as Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with backup and restoration tools
