The Role
- Prepare technical and construction drawings
- Produce and update technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Assist with construction drawings, layouts, sections, and basic detailing required for renovation works.
- Ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and practical for on-site execution.
- Support design development
- Use SketchUp and/or 3Ds Max to support design development and spatial coordination where required.
- Assist in resolving technical and layout-related design issues as projects evolve.
- Support site coordination and execution
- Attend site visits during renovation and fit-out works.
- Coordinate well with contractors and suppliers.
- Help translate drawings and requirements into practical on-site outcomes.
- Provide hands-on project support
- Assist with material selection, finishes, and basic specifications.
- Support project timelines by tracking updates, changes, and site requirements.
- Contribute to future CBC projects involving offices, spaces, and events as needed.
Who you are
- 3-5 years experience in interior design with hands-on exposure to technical and construction drawings.
- Comfortable using AutoCAD and SketchUp and/or 3Ds Max as core working tools.
- Familiar with renovation or construction environments and site coordination.
- Able to communicate well with contractors and vendors.
- Speaking Malay, Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus!
- Detail-oriented, practical, and execution-focused.
- Willing to be involved on site and take ownership of deliverables.
Extra Credits
- Experience in an ID firm with direct site coordination responsibilities.
- Familiarity with construction detailing, materials, and finishes.
- Ability to independently identify and resolve on-site issues.
- Experience with additional 3D tools or AI-assisted workflows.
- Strong sense of responsibility for quality and follow-through.
- Mandarin/Cantonese and Malay is a great plus!
- Extra plus is if you can read/write in Mandarin/Malay!
