Job Description

As an Intermediate Draft Technician, you will lead the preparation of detailed architectural drawings, oversee quality standards, and produce 2D and 3D models across diverse projects. This role emphasizes accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement-supporting architecture, construction, and insurance restoration clients.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • At least 3 years of relevant drafting experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit and other BIM software
  • Ability to prepare detailed floor plan drawings with precision
  • Strong skills in performing quality assurance checks
  • Solid understanding of drafting principles and engineering-related practices
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure high-quality outputs
  • Self-motivation to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills for drafting or software-related issues
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage tasks effectively
  • Adaptability to work with various CAD software and evolving project requirements

Your Daily Tasks

  • Create architectural floor plan packages using Autodesk Revit for architecture, construction, and engineering clients
  • Oversee quality assurance for drafting work to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards and client requirements
  • Create DWG floor plans using Autodesk Revit for architecture, construction, and engineering clients
  • Create RVT models using Autodesk Revit for architecture, construction, and engineering clients
  • Create 3D isometric models using Autodesk Revit for interior design and virtual staging clients, including selecting furnishings, materials, and artwork
  • Create iGUIDE floor plans using Planitar's proprietary software, Draft, for residential, commercial, and insurance restoration clients
  • Create ESX floor plan sketches using Verisk's Xactimate software for insurance restoration claims clients
  • Address and report production issues to the iGUIDE Drafting Shift Leader
  • Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives as opportunities arise
  • Perform additional tasks outside of drafting, such as AI annotations, marketing research, information gathering, and case studies
  • Maintain and achieve KPI targets by implementing effective strategies and managing daily operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility in supporting various organizational needs
