Job Description

About the Role

The IT Project Manager (ITPM) is accountable for leading and delivering end-to-end IT projects, ensuring successful execution within agreed timelines, scope, and budget. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to translate business requirements into scalable and effective technology solutions.

The position plays a critical role in supporting organizational strategy by driving IT initiatives that improve operational efficiency, strengthen system capabilities, and enhance overall business performance.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or Business Administration is an advantage.

Certifications (Nice-to-have)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Agile or Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP).
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.

Key Competencies & Skills

Project Management Tools

Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or similar platforms for project planning, tracking, reporting, and collaboration.

Technical Acumen

Strong understanding of IT systems, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), infrastructure environments, and system integration concepts to effectively manage technology-driven projects.

Risk & Issue Management

Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks, with the ability to escalate and resolve issues proactively to minimize impact.

Vendor & Contract Management

Experience managing third-party vendors, negotiating deliverables, and ensuring compliance with agreed service levels and contractual obligations.

Change Management

Capable of leading organizational and system changes while minimizing disruption to business operations.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

Ability to assess complex project challenges and implement timely, effective solutions.

Leadership & Team Collaboration

Demonstrates strong leadership, sound decision-making, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams toward shared objectives.

Stakeholder Communication

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Financial & Budget Management

Solid understanding of project budgeting, cost control, financial tracking, and resource optimization to ensure efficient project delivery.
