The Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to take charge of end-to-end project delivery within the finance sector. This is a 6-month renewable contract with a hybrid work arrangement. You will manage small, medium and large-scale IT projects from scoping and planning through deployment, handover and post-deployment stabilisation, working closely with business analysts, developers, testers, infrastructure and delivery teams as well as vendors to deliver on scope, on budget and on time.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end project implementation, including planning, risk management, quality control, vendor, financial and resource management

• Develop project work plans, define timelines, effort and key activities, and plan for testing, data migration, deployment and training

• Set up project teams based on the project charter and run kick-off, working committee and steering committee meetings

• Track deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor progress, while maintaining the risk and issue register

• Prepare regular progress reports for key stakeholders covering status, risks, spending, budget, resources and timelines

• Manage project documentation, collect delivery metrics such as RSI and DRE, and coordinate activities across departments and vendors

• Analyse project dependencies, resolve business and technical problems, and stay current with new technologies and project management tools

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology or equivalent

• 8-10 years of Project Management experience, with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience

• Proven track record managing projects through the full life cycle, from inception to post-deployment stabilisation

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred

• Strong stakeholder, vendor, budget and resource management skills

• Familiarity with project management methods, tools and standards, with a commitment to quality and regulatory compliance

• Malaysian citizens only
