We need a technical visionary who speaks Product. We are looking for a Lead Engineer who can bridge the gap between ambitious business goals and engineering reality. You won't just oversee code; you will oversee the technical direction of our products, ensuring that what we build today scales for the millions of users we'll have tomorrow.
The Role
As a Lead, you are the technical counterpart to the Product Manager. You are responsible for the How and the When, while helping shape the What. You will guide a team of talented engineers to deliver high-value features while maintaining a healthy, scalable codebase.
Your Day-to-Day:
Strategic Product Partnership:
- Feasibility & Decision Making: Partner with Product Managers during the conceptualization phase. You will assess ideas against technical constraints, cost, and complexity to ensure we commit to realistic, high-impact roadmaps.
- The Why behind the How: Translate business goals into technical execution. You empower your team to understand the business context behind every feature they build.
Team Leadership & Strategy:
- Long-Term Alignment: Continuously align your squad with the broader engineering strategy. You ensure the team balances immediate feature delivery with long-term architectural health and technical debt management.
- Team Growth: Lead, mentor, and hire engineers (Mid-level to Senior). You are responsible for code quality standards, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and helping your team members grow their careers.
Hands-On Engineering & Architecture:
- System Design: Architect highly scalable, fault-tolerant solutions that can handle massive transaction volumes.
- Stack Evolution: Guide the team through technical transitions and modernizations to ensure our stack remains performant and maintainable.
- Code: You will still be hands-on (approx. 50% capacity), setting the standard for code quality and reviewing complex PRs.
What You Bring to the Table
Leadership & Mindset:
- Experience: 7+ years in Software Engineering, with at least 2+ years leading a team or acting as a Tech Lead.
- Commercial Awareness: You understand the ROI of engineering time. You know when to build a quick MVP to validate a hypothesis and when to engineer a bulletproof scalable solution.
- Strategic Communication: You can explain complex technical risks (like technical debt or scalability limits) to non-technical stakeholders in a way that helps them make better business decisions.
Technical Skills:
- Core Stack: Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript environments (NodeJS / NestJS / Vue3).
- Adaptability: We believe in using the best tool for the job. Currently, we are transitioning parts of our backend to Go (Golang) for performance. You should be open to learning/working with Go, but prior deep expertise is not mandatorya solid engineering foundation is.
- Infrastructure: Experience with distributed computing, database design (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
