We are a specialist legal search firm headquartered in Singapore, working closely with leading international law firms and in-house teams across Asia. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to hire a Legal Recuitment Consultant to support our regional mandates.
This is a remote role offering strong exposure to the legal market across Singapore, Malaysia and broader Asia, working directly with senior stakeholders. The position is focused on 180 recruitment – research, market intelligence, and talent mapping, without client-facing responsibilities.
The Role
You will play a critical role in supporting our search and advisory work through market intelligence, talent mapping, and research-driven insights.
Key responsibilities include:
Market Mapping
- Build and maintain detailed maps of law firms, teams, and key practitioners across specific practice areas
- Track team movements, hiring trends, and platform growth across jurisdictions
- Identify gaps and opportunities within client teams
Talent Pool Analysis
- Identify, segment, and analyse relevant candidate pools across target markets
- Provide insights on candidate positioning, motivations, and mobility trends
- Benchmark talent across firms (seniority, pedigree, practice focus, compensation expectations)
Research & Intelligence
- Conduct structured research on legal markets, practice areas, and industry developments
- Analyse publicly available information (deal activity, rankings, firm announcements, etc.)
- Produce concise research reports, briefs, and candidate shortlists
- Support live mandates with targeted headhunting research
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with consultants to refine search strategies
- Support pitch materials and client-facing insights
- Continuously improve internal databases and research processes
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Law or a related discipline
- 1–3 years of experience in Legal research / paralegal work; Recruitment / executive search; or Consulting / market research.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear outputs
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong interest in the legal industry and market dynamics
