This is a contract based role (12 months renewable upon excellent performance)
Location: Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
Job Purpose:
- Able to work effectively with the internal IT & Business teams, squads, as well as, vendor (where applicable) to meet various Initiatives, Projects, Change Request, Production defect timelines.
- Responsible for updates on system /project related activities.
- Have hands-on experience on product table setups and corresponding knowledge on product lifecycle/features in Lifeasia.
- Able to understand the modules and difference between all types of life products.
- Understand functionalities and technical aspects of the system; analyze technical impact on interfacing systems.
- Provide system design solution, development of system design and technical documents, programming and Code Review
- Provide maintenance, enhancement and production support for the Core System.
- Ensure that all application development performed is in –line with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT Governance requirements.
- Adhere to SMART/400 coding and design standards.
Accountabilities:
Investigate and resolve application functionality error within the timeline stated in the SLA
- Analyse and identify the root cause
- Perform program changes or correction
- Perform unit testing
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing
- Implementing fixes in production environment
Assist business users to optimize the system usage
- User manuals are updated
- Identify areas of improvement
- Guide the users to system functionality
Analyse and enhance the system to meet the new user requirement
- Prepare the impact analysis of the new requirement
- Perform unit testing
- Supporting user acceptance testing
- Implementing enhancemenst in production environment

- Analyse monthly system performance report

Qualifications:
- Degree in IT or related areas.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of working experience in the application development preferably from an insurance domain (Life)
- Knowledge of AS400, SMART/400, QUERY400, COBOL, Control Language, SQL development and Robot technology.
