Logistics Specialist - Pasir Gudang, Johor

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Contract Staff Operations Support to provide hands-on operational support across customer order management, logistics coordination and business reporting. This role offers excellent exposure to regional operations within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order Management

• Issue purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Follow up on vendor invoices to ensure prompt processing
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all purchase orders are raised before month-end

Logistics & Shipment Coordination

• Book shipments and liaise with freight forwarders and transporters
• Maintain and update distribution cost data in relevant systems
• Conduct Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for logistics and transportation services

Reporting & Presentation Support

• Prepare regular reports to support operational insights and management decision-making
• Perform basic data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for internal meetings and reviews

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high service and operational standards
• Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, safety and environmental regulations, and company policies

Requirements

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related business field
• Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese (both written and spoken)
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrix organization (experience is an advantage)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
