Job Description

Your Job

You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and safety of production equipment by planning and executing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance; maintaining and calibrating tools, gauges and machines; documenting maintenance activity and spare-parts usage; coordinating with production planners and vendors to minimize downtime; and driving continuous-improvement activities to reduce tooling downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness.

Our Team

You will be part of the plant Maintenance/Engineering team that partners closely with production, planning, and vendor partners to keep manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently. The team trains operators and technicians, supports process improvements, and coordinates repairs and upgrades to meet production targets and ISO safety requirements.

What You Will Do

Preventive maintenance

  • Plan and execute scheduled inspections and servicing of equipment to maintain reliable operation.
  • Replace worn or degraded parts proactively to prevent failures and extend equipment life.

Corrective maintenance

  • Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns promptly using data and structured troubleshooting.
  • Minimize downtime by performing mechanical tooling repairs and restorations efficiently.

Predictive maintenance

  • Use monitoring tools (for example, Excel-based tracking) to monitor cycle stroke and other indicators to determine maintenance needs.
  • Recommend equipment or tooling upgrades and replacements based on trend data and tooling datasheets.

Technical Duties

  • Maintain and calibrate tools, gauges, machines, and production systems to ensure accurate, reliable operation.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to support accurate repairs and setup.
  • Create or update tooling drawings in the applicable app/tool where advantageous.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain maintenance logs, job cards, and service reports to ensure traceability of work performed.
  • Track spare-parts usage and inventory levels (including MXL spares) and flag replenishment needs.
  • Report recurring issues and propose long-term corrective actions and system improvements.

Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with production teams and planners to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to manufacturing.
  • Liaise with external vendors for specialized repairs, modifications, or new jigs and fixtures.
  • Train technicians and operators on correct equipment handling, basic maintenance, and preventive checks.

Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct risk assessments before starting maintenance jobs and follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations and internal ISO-aligned standards during all maintenance activities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Propose and implement modifications to improve equipment efficiency, reduce costs, and reduce tooling downtime.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis for major failures and support corrective and preventative countermeasures.
  • Develop and present tooling downtime improvement proposals and follow through on implementation.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational certificate in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, covering preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
  • Proficient at reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain/calibrate tools, gauges, and production equipment; competent with basic diagnostic tools and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) for monitoring.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and experience applying ISO-aligned safety procedures; strong communication and teamwork skills.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, or related vocational accreditation.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance systems and data-driven maintenance decision-making; familiarity with tooling datasheets and trend analysis.
  • Ability to create tooling drawings using CAD or the plant's tooling-drawing app.
  • Experience with spare-parts inventory systems (experience with MXL spares a plus).
  • Experience in root-cause analysis methodologies, continuous-improvement tools (e.g., PDCA, 5 Whys, DMAIC), or PLC/troubleshooting knowledge.
