The Manager/Assistant Manager is responsible for leading and managing forensic accounting and litigation support assignments to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables. The position also entails supervising and mentoring junior team members to ensure work is delivered to the highest professional standard while fostering their development.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team to carry out forensic and litigation support assignments, including planning work timelines, setting deadlines and ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct investigations, financial analysis and assessments in relation to fraud, misappropriation, shareholder disputes, damage assessments and any other complex financial issues.
- Prepare comprehensive investigation reports and expert reports for use in litigation proceedings.
- Liaise with clients, legal counsels and other stakeholders to gather evidence, clarify issues and present findings effectively.
Job Requirement
- Candidate should possess a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Finance / Accountancy / Forensic Accounting
- Preferably at least 4 to 5 years of related working experience in financial fraud investigation & litigation support
- Experience in preparing expert reports and/or working with legal counsel in dispute resolution is highly desirable.
- Preferably Assistant Manager specializing in Auditing/ Fraud & Forensic Accounting or equivalent.
- Good communication skills in English language for both spoken and written
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information
- Familiarity with accounting standards (e.g. MRFS/IFRS) and regulatory requirements (e.g. Companies Act)
- Good report-writing skills, with the ability to present findings clearly, concisely and persuasively
