Job Role:
To drive freight forwarding revenue growth in Malaysia by acquiring new customers, managing key accounts, and promoting ocean, air, and logistics solutions in line with company targets.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and Logistics services.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline across priority trade lanes.
- Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis within the market.
- Achieve assigned sales and GP targets.
2. Key Account Management
- Manage and grow relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews.
- Cross-sell and upsell value-added services.
- Ensure high customer retention and satisfaction.
3. RFQ & Pricing Coordination
- Handle RFQs in coordination with pricing and product teams.
- Prepare competitive quotations and commercial proposals.
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with customers.
- Monitor market freight trends and adjust strategy accordingly.
4. Market & Trade Lane Focus
- Develop business on key Malaysia trade lanes
- Work closely with overseas offices and network partners.
- Support agency and liner relationships where relevant.
5. Internal Coordination
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams for smooth shipment execution.
- Support issue resolution and escalation management.
- Ensure SOP adherence for key accounts.
