- Build models from first principles and ensure outputs are accurate, auditable and aligned with project and transaction requirements;
- Translate PPAs, term sheets, financing arrangements, shareholder agreements, tax assumptions and commercial structures into robust financial model assumptions and calculations;
- Review and enhance existing models to improve transparency, efficiency, usability and analytical capability.
Financial Analysis & Decision Support
- Conduct detailed valuation and investment analyses including DCF, NPV, IRR, debt service coverage, funding requirements, capital structure assessments and return optimisation analyses;
- Develop sensitivity analyses, scenario testing and downside cases to assess key project risks, commercial assumptions and value drivers;
- Analyse modelling outputs and clearly communicate conclusions, risks and opportunities to support decision-making.
Transaction & Project Support
- Support project development, bid submissions, acquisitions, financing exercises and due diligence activities through detailed financial modelling and analysis;
- Prepare financial outputs, model summaries and supporting analyses for management reviews, financing processes and investment approvals;
- Work closely with commercial, finance, legal, tax and technical stakeholders to validate inputs and reconcile assumptions.
Model Review & Quality Assurance

- Maintain model documentation, assumption registers, version control processes and audit trails;

Team & Capability Development
- Provide guidance and technical support to Analysts and junior modelling team members;
- Contribute to the development of modelling templates, tools and process improvements to enhance team productivity and analytical quality;

- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, project finance, infrastructure funds, renewable energy development, private equity, corporate finance, Big Four transaction services / valuation, or equivalent commercial finance roles;
- Expert Excel financial modelling capability, with demonstrable experience building complex models from scratch without reliance on templates; formal financial modelling qualification or recognised best-practice modelling training is strongly preferred;
- Strong technical foundation across integrated three-statement modelling, project finance modelling, debt sculpting, repayment profiles, reserve accounts, financing covenants, circularity management, DCF valuation, transaction analysis and investment appraisal;
- Proven exposure to renewable energy, power, infrastructure, utilities, energy transition, BESS, solar, CRESS / corporate PPA, merchant revenue or comparable long-term contracted asset businesses will be highly advantageous;
- Hands-on experience supporting live transactions, bids, M&A, debt financing, refinancing, financial close, lender due diligence, investment committee approvals or board-level decision processes;
- Ability to interpret commercial agreements and financing terms, challenge assumptions constructively, identify commercial implications, and communicate risk-adjusted recommendations rather than merely producing model outputs;
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (and its use of VBAs and Macros), and PowerPoint, and other analytics tools are advantageous, particularly for automation, dashboards and advanced scenario analysis;
