Responsibilities

Strategic Contribution

  • Partner with HR leadership to design and implement development strategies that align with business goals.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and leadership excellence.

HR Business Partner Collaboration

  • Consult with business leaders to identify L&D and leadership development needs.
  • Provide expert advice on training investments, ensuring adoption of best-practice learning techniques.
  • Plan, deliver, and follow up on training programs tailored to business priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Government Agencies: Secure funding and support for training initiatives.
  • Training Vendors & Facility Providers: Ensure delivery of high-quality, impactful programs.
  • Line Managers: Collaborate on management training plans and execution.

Learning & Development Execution

  • Market and communicate training programs to drive awareness and commitment.
  • Conduct training needs analysis to align programs with individual and organizational goals.
  • Develop frameworks and annual training plans to support strategic objectives.

Training Effectiveness & ROI

  • Implement evaluation methods focused on measurable impact and ROI.
  • Continuously enhance quality and effectiveness of learning solutions.

Governance & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for training investments and activities.
  • Manage budgets effectively, seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Design and enforce training policies, including sponsorship guidelines.

Onboarding & Regional Programs

  • Oversee induction programs to integrate new employees into DHL's culture and values.
  • Implement and ensure success of regionally mandated programs.

Talent Management

  • Manage talent selection based on agreed competency frameworks.
  • Facilitate talent panel reviews and succession planning.
  • Follow up on development actions and investments to build future-ready leaders.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, and Capability Building.
  • Familiarity with 360 feedback tools, coaching methodologies, psychometric assessments, and high-potential programs is a strong advantage.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to think ahead, align initiatives with business goals, and drive change effectively.
  • Project Leadership: Proven skills in managing complex projects from concept to execution.
  • Influence & Collaboration: Confidence in engaging with senior leaders and working seamlessly across all organizational levels.
  • Customer Orientation: Service-driven approach with a passion for delivering impactful solutions.
  • Facilitation & Training: Skilled in delivering engaging workshops and programs that inspire learning.
  • Presentation Excellence: Ability to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Communication Mastery: Strong verbal and written communication skills to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Digital Proficiency: Competent in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with technology-driven learning tools.

The company DHL itself was founded in San Francisco, United States, in 1969 and expanded its service throughout the world by the late 1970s. In 1979, under the name of DHL Air Cargo, the company entered the Hawaiian islands with an inter-island cargo service using two DC-3 and four DC-6 aircraft. Adrian Dalsey and Larry Hillblom personally oversaw the daily operations until its eventual bankruptcy closed the doors in 1983. At its peak, DHL Air Cargo employed just over 100 workers, management and pilots.
