Job Summary
Our client, a fast-growing automotive manufacturer, is strengthening its HR capabilities to align with expansion and operational demands. They are now looking for a Human Resources Manager who can balance strategic people leadership with strong on-the-ground workforce support at the plant.
You will take ownership of the full HR scope strategic planning, recruitment, performance and development, employee wellbeing, HR operations, and site support including discipline, safety, accommodation, and foreign talent administration. Your leadership will ensure smooth daily operations and a workplace where employees feel supported, valued, and motivated to perform.
What You'll Lead & Deliver
People Strategy & Execution
- Work with leadership to translate business goals into HR strategies and workforce plans.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and ensure timely hiring of qualified talent aligned to business needs.
Performance & Total Rewards
- Strengthen performance culture through fair evaluation frameworks and competitive compensation practices.
Employee Experience & Relations
- Foster a positive, productive workplace environment; handle grievances and drive engagement initiatives.
Learning & Capability Development
- Implement training and development programs to build skills, leadership pipeline, and organizational capability.
Compliance & HR Governance
- Ensure full compliance with Malaysian labor regulations while mitigating HR-related risks.
HR Operations & Leadership
- Lead and develop HR team members to deliver high-performance, service-oriented support to the organization.
Operational Site Support & Workforce Administration
- Oversee HR administrative functions and operational support including:
- Workplace discipline and safety coordination.
- Material movement and site access security.
- Employee accommodation arrangements.
- Foreign workforce documentation, welfare, and coordination.
- Workplace upkeep in alignment with 5S and safety standards.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 57 years of HR management experience, preferably within operational or fast-paced environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid understanding of Malaysia labor law & HR compliance.
- Highly responsible, adaptable, and confident managing diverse workforce groups.
- Mandarin proficiency is an advantage when working with cross-border leaders and employees.
