Administer, support, and maintain IT-related computer software, servers, hardware infrastructure, and network connectivity to ensure effective and continuous operations.
Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve delivery issues by designing and deploying appropriate workarounds to meet committed requirements and job deadlines.
Design and implement new server or storage infrastructures, and perform day-to-day monitoring, capacity planning, and management of the existing environment.
Provide technical support both proactively and reactively, ensuring systems remain stable and perform within the respective Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Evaluate and apply necessary operating system security patches, hotfixes, service packs, and hardware updates.
Participate in the implementation and management of server, virtualization, backup, and storage-related projects.
Responsible for managing data centre and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) servers, ensuring system readiness and reliability.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
Minimum 35 years of working experience in the banking industry, with exposure to Wintel, system, and storage administration.
Microsoft, VMware, or equivalent storage certifications (or other related certifications) are an added advantage.
Experience with any of the following layered products is required (at least one mandatory; knowledge of two or more is an added advantage): DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, IIS, FTP, and strong understanding of TCP/IP concepts.
Experience in architecting Windows solutions for customer environments and managing high-availability server infrastructures.
Preferably qualified in, or knowledgeable about, ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
