Manager, Leverage Finance, Maybank Investment Bank Berhad

Responsibilities

• Evaluate credit requests for Maybank Group relating to fresh bridging loans arising from investment banking advisory roles. This includes, among others, financing required for corporate exercises such as mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, and voluntary or mandatory general offers.
• The role also involves assessing bridging financing under Maybank IB for selective lending purposes, particularly in support of Debt Capital Markets and Corporate Finance related activities. Such evaluations must be conducted within the applicable Single Customer Limit requirements.
• Provide door to door solutions including Client Relationship Manager as Facility Agent for all PDS/Loan Stock issuance/Loan Syndication originated by the Bank;
• Managing the agency functions and review of agency roles for bond issuances, syndicated loans and loan stocks arranged by Debt Markets (DM) and Corporate Finance (CF), under the assigned portfolio.
• Assist in initiation process of deal evaluation – preparation of placemat which contained summary of the financial performances, deal structure, transaction fund flow and salient terms and conditions
• Ensure that credit evaluation is in compliance with Maybank's Group, Bank Negara Malaysia and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 5 years experience in Leveraged Finance and preferably with Credit and Private equity background.
• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, Actuarial Science, or any related field. An advanced post-graduate qualification or professional qualification is an added advantage.
• Good Business Acumen with expert level written and verbal communication skills
• Excellence analytical skills, numerical and attention to details.
• Able to work under pressure, in meeting tight deadlines, independent and possess positive attitude.
• Possess good interpersonal skills and able to interact with people at all levels.
