Job Summary
Develop and deliver products in accordance with the schedules set in product calendar. This includes all stages within the product development process ranging from insights into consumers / distributors / competitors, product ideas generation, feasibility evaluation and conversion of idea into product design, ensure competitiveness in product pricing, product launch, post-launch review / monitoring and recommendation for potential enhancements.
Functional
- Identify product gap, initiate new product proposal, develop specification and mutual agreement with pricing team for competitive pricing and profitability.
- Design and develop marketing materials for the product launches.
- Lead and develop certificate contract development for new and existing products.
- Conduct focus group discussion with agents, distributors and consumers.
- Conduct product comparison related to the product offerings in the market.
- Continuous review and enhance product development and approval process for fast to market whilst adhering regulation requirements.
- Provide on-going product support to distribution team in all matters related to products.
Managerial
- To lead Product Development Committee (PDC) comprising of internal stakeholders to implement new product launches and roll-out of product enhancement.
- To train new subordinate and guide subordinate related to day-to-day areas relating to product development.
- To guide subordinate to analyze customer data and identify opportunities or product gap in the existing products, purchasing behavior of the customer for future development of products, personalizing customer experience and streamline operations.
- To mentor and cultivate subordinates so that they are ready to assume the responsibilities of the third tier of managerial positions.
- Join effort with pricing team on the development and maintenance of Benefit Illustration file/software and/or quotation tools.
Organizational
- Assist the Head to identify opportunity or coming up with campaigns, new products, or product enhancement to support the company financials including sales and profitability.
- Keeping up to date and following with up the latest compliance and regulations by Bank Negara Malaysia and associations.
- Adherence to the internal SOPs and Group Policy to ensure the sustainability of our brand, uphold ethical business practices, protect the integrity of our operations, achieve full compliance with regulatory expectations, and preserve the confidence entrusted to us by our stakeholders and customers.
