Provide subject matter expertise in regulatory compliance advisory, partnering with business stakeholders to ensure that PAMB operates within regulatory requirements and risk appetite. This includes and not limited to regulatory advisory and assessments relating to products, initiatives, projects and business processes.

The role requires independent judgment, structured problem-solving, and proactive stakeholder engagement to enable business outcomes while maintaining strong compliance standards.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

one. Regulatory Compliance Advisory

  • Provide independent advisory on product design, features, and marketing/material reviews. Business initiatives, including system enhancements, AI use cases, and transformation programs. Outsourcing and third-party risk arrangements
  • Ensure timely and practical guidance that balances regulatory compliance and business enablement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business units, offering solutions-oriented recommendations in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements issued by BNM, LIAM, PIDM, and other relevant authorities.

two. Regulatory Risk Assessment & Change Management

  • Support regulatory risk assessments, including:

Annual Regulatory Risk Self-Assessment (RRSA)

Annual Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)

  • Interpret and translate regulatory requirements (e.g., BNM guidelines) into actionable business controls.
  • Support and track regulatory change implementation, ensuring completeness and timeliness.

3. Compliance Assurance & Monitoring

  • Execute compliance monitoring reviews across key risk areas.
  • Identify control gaps and recommend practical remediation actions.
  • Track closure of findings to ensure sustainable compliance outcomes.
  • Escalate material risks appropriately in line with governance expectations.

4. Governance & Reporting

  • Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and management information for Risk Committees and Board Committees.
  • Assist in preparing regulatory submissions, responses to regulatory inquiries, and management updates.
  • Support the maintenance of Compliance policies, procedures, and governance documents.

Key Accountabilities

  • Timely high-quality compliance advisory turnaround to enable business outcomes while maintaining strong compliance standards.
  • Completion of compliance assurance and regulatory activities.
  • Effective identification, assessment, and escalation of compliance risks and issues.
  • Timely tracking and closure of compliance findings and remediation actions.
  • Quality preparation of compliance reports and regulatory updates.

Qualifications


Job Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in law, Compliance, Finance, Business, Accounting, Risk Management, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, or Governance is an added advantage.

Experience


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in compliance, regulatory advisory, or risk management within insurance or financial services
  • Strong familiarity with BNM regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Experience supporting projects, regulatory reviews, or transformation initiatives
  • Experience in data analytics would be a great advantage
