Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design innovative operational solutions that improve efficiency, cost, and service levels for new and existing customers.
  • Analyse customer requirements, operational data, and business needs to recommend the best-fit logistics solutions.
  • Prepare clear and compelling proposals, layouts, process flows, and cost models to support commercial bids and implementations.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (Operations, IT, Finance, Engineering, HR) to ensure solutions are accurate, feasible, and aligned with operational capability.
  • Support customer presentations by translating complex technical concepts into simple, customerfriendly insights.
  • Participate in site assessments and process studies to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping create smarter, faster, and more costeffective processes.
  • Stay updated on market trends and best practices, ensuring our solutions remain competitive and forwardthinking.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial), Supply Chain or Logistics
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Solutions Design in a 3Pl organisation
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a user of Microsoft Excel or complex data analysis
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with modeling, simulation, or CAD tools (e.g. Paragon, CAPS, CAST, i2, AutoCAD, CLASS) is desirable.

The company DHL itself was founded in San Francisco, United States, in 1969 and expanded its service throughout the world by the late 1970s. In 1979, under the name of DHL Air Cargo, the company entered the Hawaiian islands with an inter-island cargo service using two DC-3 and four DC-6 aircraft. Adrian Dalsey and Larry Hillblom personally oversaw the daily operations until its eventual bankruptcy closed the doors in 1983. At its peak, DHL Air Cargo employed just over 100 workers, management and pilots.
