Job Description

Job Responsibility:

  1. Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimise the Corporation's tax position while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws.
  2. Provide proactive tax advisory support for business initiatives, transactions, and structural changes.
  3. Manage and advise on indirect tax matters including SST, customs duties, and other transaction-based taxes.
  4. Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on operations, ensuring timely updates to internal policies and procedures.
  5. Oversee the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns, including timely payment of taxes and handling of tax audits or queries.
  6. Liaise with tax authorities, external consultants, and auditors to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
  7. Provide technical guidance on accounting standards (e.g., MFRS/IFRS) and ensure financial reporting complies with statutory requirements.8.
  8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on financial projects, system enhancements, and policy development.
  9. Lead or support ad hoc assignments related to financial governance, reporting, or strategic initiatives.

Job Requirement:

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly preferred.

Experience : Minimum 5 to 8 years related experience.

Knowledge : Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, indirect tax regulations, and accounting standards. Experience in dealing with tax authorities and statutory bodies will be added advantage.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
