Job Responsibility:
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimise the Corporation's tax position while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws.
- Provide proactive tax advisory support for business initiatives, transactions, and structural changes.
- Manage and advise on indirect tax matters including SST, customs duties, and other transaction-based taxes.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on operations, ensuring timely updates to internal policies and procedures.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns, including timely payment of taxes and handling of tax audits or queries.
- Liaise with tax authorities, external consultants, and auditors to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
- Provide technical guidance on accounting standards (e.g., MFRS/IFRS) and ensure financial reporting complies with statutory requirements.8.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on financial projects, system enhancements, and policy development.
- Lead or support ad hoc assignments related to financial governance, reporting, or strategic initiatives.
Job Requirement:
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
Experience : Minimum 5 to 8 years related experience.
Knowledge : Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, indirect tax regulations, and accounting standards. Experience in dealing with tax authorities and statutory bodies will be added advantage.
