About the Client
Our client is a venture capital and private equity firm focused on investing in high-growth companies across Southeast Asia. They provide funding and strategic support to startups and established businesses, with a strong emphasis on sectors such as fintech, healthcare, and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive achievement of business targets and key performance indicators, aligning investment strategies with the overall portfolio and fund objectives.
- Lead the end-to-end investment lifecycle, including sourcing, evaluating, and executing high-quality investment opportunities in line with the fund mandate.
- Oversee comprehensive due diligence processes (financial, commercial, legal, and operational), ensuring robust risk assessment and mitigation strategies are in place.
- Structure and negotiate investment terms, lead deal execution, and ensure optimal transaction outcomes.
- Manage and optimise portfolio performance by working closely with portfolio companies, providing strategic direction to drive growth, scalability, and value creation.
- Spearhead incubation and acceleration initiatives, guiding new ventures from concept to successful market entry and expansion.
- Review and oversee the structuring of key investment documentation, including term sheets and definitive agreements.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify new investment themes and strategic opportunities.
- Lead research and development of new industry verticals, presenting investment theses and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Prepare and present high-quality investment papers, performance reports, and strategic updates to senior management and investment committees.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and lead project management of investment-building initiatives to ensure timely and successful execution.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics or related field.
- Possess a minimum 6-10 years of experience in the related field of corporate and/or banking, venture capital, financial portfolio management, strategy, and business development.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present investment opportunities in a clear and concise manner.
- Good grasp of various economic and market drivers.
- Knowledge of the technology industry and startup ecosystem is desirable.
- Excel in fast paced and dynamic working environment.
