Our client, a leading developer and operator of internet infrastructure, is building the AI-ready data centers that power the digital world across Asia. From Tokyo to Jakarta, they create the critical platforms for cloud and AI. They are looking to hire a Mechanical Manager to be based onsite in Johore, Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Lead data center Mechanical team for all capacity planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance activities.
- Support multiple new data centre campuses across a region.
- Critical Data Centre equipment design including Air Handling Units, Computer Room Air Handling Units, Cooling towers, Chillers, Sequence of Operations, Control Systems, Fire Detection/Suppression systems, DRUPS, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary system.
- Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases.
- Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
- Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, mechanical systems audits, and start-up as needed.
- Provide and prepare all types of documents including statement of work, engineering reports, design documents, total cost of ownership analysis, drawing markup, budget, schedule, commissioning, design specification. etc
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand designs and schematics
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
