Project Description:
- Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Data Engineers.
- The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
- The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
- You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop workflow-based applications using OpenText AppWorks.
- Develop backend components using Java and frontend components using JavaScript and Angular.
- Perform database design and development activities using MS SQL Server.
- Deploy, configure, and support applications on Windows and Linux environments.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure compliance with SDLC processes, coding standards, and change management.
Mandatory Skills Description:
- 6-9 years of hands-on experience in OpenText AppWorks application development
- Strong experience in Java-based backend development
- Experience developing UI components using JavaScript and Angular
- Good working knowledge of MS SQL Server
- Experience working on Windows and Linux environments
- Experience in workflow / BPM-based enterprise applications
- Familiarity with SDLC, coding standards, and change management
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
- Exposure to other BPM platforms such as Pega, K2, IBM BPM
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Familiarity with enterprise deployment and integration practices
