Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Cantonese Medical OPI (Over-the-Phone Interpretation) / VRI (Video Remote Interpretation) Interpreter. The interpreter will provide professional interpretation services, ensuring clear and accurate communication between Cantonese-speaking patients and healthcare providers. Responsibilities include performing real-time medical interpretation, utilizing medical terminology accurately, and maintaining confidentiality according to industry standards. The role requires a high level of linguistic proficiency and a commitment to facilitating effective communication in a medical setting.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Interpretation, including the ability to interpret complex medical information accurately
- Strong skills in Interpreting and Translation between Cantonese and English
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and experience with Simultaneous Interpretation
- Excellent listening, communication, and cultural compec CTtency skills
- Familiarity with remote interpretation platforms is a plus
- Certification in medical interpretation or relevant training is preferred
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information professionally
