Job Description

The Payroll Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursement, compliance with statutory regulations, and maintaining payroll records. This role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and coordination with HR, finance, and statutory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

  • Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.

  • Ensure correct calculation of salaries, allowances, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.

  • Handle payroll for all employees, including full-time, part-time, and contract staff.

Compliance & Statutory Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and statutory regulations (e.g., EPF, SOCSO, EIS, Income Tax, MPF, etc.).

  • Prepare and submit statutory filings, returns, and reports within deadlines.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of changes in payroll regulations.

Record Maintenance:

  • Maintain accurate payroll records, employee attendance, leave, and benefits data.

  • Ensure confidentiality of payroll data and sensitive employee information.

  • Assist with audits and internal payroll reviews.

Coordination & Support:

  • Liaise with HR for employee onboarding, terminations, salary revisions, and leaves.

  • Respond to employee queries regarding salary, deductions, and benefits.

  • Work with finance for payroll accounting and reconciliation.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes.

  • Support implementation of payroll systems and automation tools.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Experience as a Payroll Executive is an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.

  • Proficient in using payroll software/Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
