Job Description
Specific Duties:
- Serve as a strategic resource for account, creative, and brand teams on smaller/mid-level brand assignments.
- Co-lead the strategy development process with the Planning/Strategy Head.
- Assist in generating insights for potential and existing projects.
- Support new business opportunities.
- Maintain a strong grasp of market knowledge, brand mechanisms, need states, and audience attitudes, preferences, and motivators.
- Develop skills in identifying client issues and business problems.
- Enhance skills in communications and integrated planning.
- Participate in internal and external strategic planning meetings.
- Conduct workshops and strategic working sessions with clients and internal teams.
- Engage in brainstorming sessions with the creative team.
- Understand and apply qualitative and quantitative research methods, including design and analysis.
- Identify appropriate research methods to address specific issues.
- Conduct consumer trend analyses and incorporate findings to guide strategic activities.
- Prepare and present research findings internally and to clients.
- Act as a research consultant both internally and with clients.
- Facilitate strategic qualitative research regularly.
- [Preferred] Possess a strong foundation in the social media landscape, including its cultures and subcultures.
- Stay informed on the latest tech and trends in digital and social media marketing.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of brand positioning and industry trends.
- Understand and stay familiar with technology and technology trends.
- Visualize and create meaningful stories from data (qualitative and quantitative).
- Move beyond data to discover creative solutions.
- Bring original thinking into the planning process.
- Demonstrate solid creative judgment.
- Develop inspiring creative briefs, briefing decks, and lead the briefing process when necessary.
- Exhibit strong writing, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Build and maintain solid working relationships with agency staff.
- Stay abreast of current developments in brand planning and research design; craft agency and department POVs.
- Attend professional conferences, seminars, and conventions when appropriate or possible.
- 2-4 years of work experience in digital marketing, social media marketing, branding, or communications.
- Agency experience is a bonus; appropriate academic/research training in social science, marketing, communication, statistics, or strategic planning.
