Job Description

About Wingfin

Democratising Autonomy through Deep Learning.

Wingfin develops autonomous driving systems. Our mission is rooted in accessibility: human-like autonomy for safe, cost-efficient, real-world scalability. By leveraging cutting-edge deep learning and end-to-end neural networks, Wingfin is redefining the landscape of self-driving technology. We are building a practical, cost-efficient platform that brings safe autonomy to every vehicle on the road. Headquartered in Singapore, the company boasts an international team of multi-talented experts. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our team either in Singapore or Malaysia.

The Role

At Wingfin, our deep learning models provide the intelligence for driving, but that intelligence is only as good as the data it receives and the hardware it commands. We are looking for a Platform Engineer to take full ownership of the vehicle as a unified system. In this role, you aren't just focused on a single software stack; you own the Vehicle Platform itself. You will be responsible for the architectural decisions that determine how our sensors see, how our networks move data, and how our hardware stays calibrated in a messy, vibrating, real-world environment. You are the guardian of the vehicle's physical-to-digital interface.

Key Responsibilities

You will be working on the following,

  1. Platform Ownership: Own and maintain the end-to-end vehicle platform, including the integration of sensors, compute units, and actuation systems.
  2. Calibration & Configuration: Lead the strategy for vehicle calibration and configuration management, ensuring the fleet remains precise and consistent.
  3. Architectural Decision-Making: Drive the architectural roadmap for the vehicle platform in close collaboration with the model development team to ensure hardware-software alignment.
  4. Network & Data Flow: Manage the vehicle's internal network architecture (CAN, Ethernet, GMSL) to ensure reliable, low-latency data transmission.
  5. System Diagnostics: Root-cause and resolve complex platform-level issues, ensuring maximum vehicle uptime and performance.

About You

You will require the following skills to be successful in this role.

Essential

  1. 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  3. Strong experience in C++ programming language
  4. Excellent communication skills

Desirable

  1. Automotive system engineering experience
  2. Experience working with automotive safety critical systems
  3. Experience with automotive standards like MISRA C++, ISO26262, ISO 21448, etc.
