The Opportunity

Our client is a maritime and offshore support services provider focused on vessel types commonly used in the oil and gas sector, including anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) and platform supply vessels (PSV). The company's operational scope covers the sourcing and delivery of vessel spares, technical consumables, and provisions, as well as coordination of repairs, dry-docking, and class-related maintenance. Headquartered in Singapore, the organisation operates in a sector where timely procurement and logistics coordination are critical to maintaining vessel uptime and operational efficiency. As a newly established entity, the company is building its operational capabilities and supplier networks to support its fleet and service commitments. They are currently seeking a selfsufficient Procurement Executive in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the endtoend procurement process for vessel spares, consumables, and operational supplies, ensuring timely delivery to support fleet schedules and port calls.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, conduct costbenchmarking, and negotiate commercial terms to secure competitive pricing and reliable service levels.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to understand vessel requirements, including planned maintenance, drydocking activities, and classrelated repairs.
  • Oversee purchase order issuance and logistics coordination to ensure parts and supplies reach vessels at the correct location and time.
  • Handle invoice verification, ensuring alignment with purchase orders and delivery receipts, and resolve discrepancies or claims related to defective or missing items.
  • Develop and maintain framework agreements with key suppliers to streamline purchasing and improve cost efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other related disciplines
  • 2 5 years of procurement experience within the maritime, offshore, or oil and gas sectors, preferably with exposure to AHTS, PSV, or subsea vessel operations
  • Familiarity with vessel machinery, technical spares, and marine consumables
  • Proficiency in marine procurement or ERP systems such as AMOS, ShipServ, or equivalent platforms
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced operational environment
