Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Petaling Jaya. As a Product Development Executive, you will be responsible for conducting market research, identifying trends, and analyzing market opportunities to develop product strategies. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Research and Development (R&D) initiatives, oversee the development lifecycle, and ensure alignment with market demands. Additionally, you will support sales efforts by providing product-related insights and enhancing communication between teams.

Working hours: 8.00am-5.00pm (Monday-Friday)
Salary: RM 3.8k to RM 4.5k
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduates Diploma/professional degree/Master's degree in Medical Sciences/ Food Nutrition/ Food Technology/ Dietetics/Biotechnology or equivalent.
- Required language is English and Bahasa (Mandarin is an advantage)
- Required certificate- Halal Executive
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Good presentation skill, creative and pro-active
- At least 3 years of working experience in this related field is required for this position
- Strong Market Research and Research and Development (R&D) skills to identify trends and opportunities
- Excellent Analytical Skills to interpret data and inform decision-making
- Outstanding Communication and Sales abilities to effectively collaborate across teams and drive product success
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Experience in product development or a similar role is a plus
Job Description
- Researching and analysing new products to satisfy market demand and customers needs
- Constantly look for new products and contract manufacturers
- Communicating with factories the product specifications of proposed new product
- Monitoring, tracking and organizing of all approved proposed new product samples and establish costing
- Complete P&L for all core items and communicate cost for private label product
- Inspect and report all pre-production samples
- Accurately complete item set up requirements and all related documents, communicate to procurement, quality department, marketing and sales
- Ensure all compliances are met for all nutraceutical products
- Participate in quality assurance process
- Participate in cross-functional teams to execute product development plan
- Conduct periodic product analysis and optimise as needed
- Initiate clinical trials for products where necessary
- Engaged in product registration, certification and quality assurance processes with government agencies
- Ensure all the seminars / trainings are well planned, conducted and carry out efficiently and coordinated professionally. Ensure all the events organised are successful ones
- Ensure marketing or promotional materials and free handouts are ready on time for every event
- Identify all the events organized by customers and evaluate our participation and prepare annual forecast on budget and cost involve for each seminars or training conducted ( local or abroad) and recommend to management on the impact/ benefit from participating in the event Participate in product launching organized by customers including all major events, such as Yearly sales/ margin review of assigned categories, conduct SKU rationalization of line
- Execute /communicate go-forward plan to all parties
- Work to ensure product specifications are accurate and up-to-date then communicate to procurement, quality department, marketing and sales of changes
- Coordinate with Marketing Communications strategic direction for product catalogues, new products, sell sheets, and launch programs on assigned categories.
- Understand competitive marketplace for assigned categories and document competitive cross references.
