Product Owner

Cash Management / Transaction Banking Fundamentals:

Understanding of corporate cash management journeys:

• Payment initiation, approvals, limit controls, cut-off processing

• Statements and transaction reporting (end-of-day / intraday)

• Reconciliation use cases and reference data management

• Experience with bulk/batch processing and exception handling (reject repair flows).

Channel & Connectivity (H2H / API Banking):

Hands-on exposure to:

• Host-to-Host connectivity: SFTP/PGP, file naming conventions, scheduling, ACK/NAK patterns

• File formats: CSV, fixed-width, XML (e.g., ISO 20022 pain.001 / pain.002; camt.053 /p camt.052)

• API Banking patterns: REST/JSON, async workflows, webhooks, idempotency keys

• OAuth2 concepts: client credentials, scopes, token expiry/rotation, mTLS (good to have).

Payments & Clearing Awareness (Malaysia-relevant):

General knowledge of domestic payment rails and operational characteristics:

• Real-time vs batch settlement, cut-off times, holiday calendars

• Status tracking, reversals/returns, and dispute handling (where applicable).

Platform / Tech Collaboration Experience:

Worked with enterprise components like:

• API gateway, IAM/CIAM, HSM/key management, logging/SIEM

• Integration middleware (ESB), message queues/event streaming

• Core banking/payment hub interfaces, reference/master data services.

Controls, Risk & Regulatory Operations:

Demonstrated experience translating control requirements into product features:

• maker-checker, role-based entitlements, audit trails

• transaction monitoring triggers, velocity limits, sanction screening checkpoints

• PDPA-aware data handling and retention practices.
