Company Description

Agroz is an agritech company leveraging AI, precision farming, and data-driven solutions to transform agriculture. By optimizing crop health, automating resource allocation, and improving supply chain efficiency, Agroz helps farmers and agribusinesses increase yields while minimizing waste. The company collaborates with retailers and food manufacturers to streamline the farm-to-table process. With a strong commitment to sustainability, Agroz focuses on supporting global food security, economic growth, and the preservation of natural resources through accessible technological innovations.

Role Summary

We are seeking a high-energy, resilient Project Manager to lead the deployment of large-scale greenhouse solutions and modern agricultural technologies. You won't just be managing timelines and deliverables; you will be the bridge between traditional highland farming and the future of Agritecture. This role requires living and working on-site to oversee the consultation, construction, technical integration, knowledge transfer and training; and—most importantly—guiding local farmers through the digital and operational transformation to modern agriculture. You are literally changing the landscape of food security by bringing high-tech solutions to the highlands and empowering the local farming community with the tools of tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Execution (Highland Site)

  • End-to-End Delivery: Oversee the full lifecycle of greenhouse construction and technology installation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to technical specifications.
  • Highland Logistics: Manage the unique challenges of highland environments, including steep terrain logistics, fluctuating weather conditions, and remote resource management.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Supervise on-site contractors (civil, mechanical, electrical) to ensure high-quality installation of climate control, irrigation, and sensor systems.

2. Farmer Liaison & Change Management

  • Transformation Specialist: Act as the primary point of contact for local farmers, translating complex Ag-Tech concepts into practical, relatable benefits.
  • Adoption Support: Lead the human element of the transformation, helping farmers transition from traditional methods to data-driven, modern agricultural practices.
  • Training: Organize and facilitate on-site workshops for growers on how to operate new greenhouse systems and utilize agritecture software.

3. Technical Integration & Quality Control

  • System Commissioning: Ensure all Agritecture elements (IoT sensors, automated fertigation, LED arrays, and climate software) are calibrated and functioning as intended.
  • Audit & Compliance: Develop and execute on-site checklists and audits to ensure the physical build matches the engineering designs and meets local agricultural standards.
  • Data Monitoring: Initial oversight of farm data to ensure the new systems are yielding the performance improvements promised in the consultancy phase.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Progress Tracking: Provide weekly status reports to the head office, highlighting risks, budget burn-rates, and milestone achievements.
  • Handover Protocols: Create comprehensive As-Built documentation and operational manuals for the farmers to ensure long-term sustainability after project completion.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in Project Management, specifically in Greenhouse Construction, CEA, or Large-Scale Hydroponics and Indoor Farming.
  • Ag-Tech Savvy: Deep understanding and implementation of modern farming technology (Climate Control Systems, Hydroponics/Aeroponics, IoT) and Robotics.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and highland-specific agricultural policies.
  • Conservation Mindset: A proven track record of managing projects with a leave no trace or minimal impact philosophy in sensitive ecosystems.
  • Education: Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agribusiness, or a related field. PMP or Prince2 certification is a significant plus.
  • On-Site Resilience: Willingness to work in remote, farming environment and adapt to non-standard working hours dictated by farming seasons.

Soft Skills (The Must-Haves)

  • Exceptional Communication: The ability to talk tech with engineers and crops with farmers.
  • Diplomacy: Experience in navigating the cultural and emotional aspects of changing long-standing traditional farming habits, mindset and attitude with various stakeholders from farmers, policy makers, government agencies to supply chain providers.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to provide solutions and mitigation plans for issues and risks during project implementation.
