Job Description

Purpose of Job

The incumbent is responsible for leading, overseeing, and delivering complex and high-impact projects in alignment with organizational objectives. The role ensures effective project governance, optimal resource utilization, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to achieve timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.

Key Outputs

Major Activities

1. Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans and milestones.
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.

2. Governance & Risk Management

  • Establish and maintain project governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and approval processes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

3. Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Act as a key liaison with senior management, internal teams, and external partner.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to project teams.
  • Facilitate effective communication and alignment across stakeholders.

4. Financial & Resource Management

  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor expenditure and ensure cost control and value for money.
  • Support procurement and vendor management related to project delivery.

5. Monitoring, Reporting & Improvement

  • Track project performance against KPIs and strategic objectives.
  • Prepare high-level reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and best practices.

Specifications

1. Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 810 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Professional certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent) is an advantage.

2. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Salary Range

RM5,500 - RM8,000
