Role Description
This position is a full-time, on-site role located in Shah Alam. The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of solar PV projects, ranging from residential and commercial (C&I) rooftop installations to large-scale solar (LSS) farms. The role bridges technical engineering with commercial management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with Malaysian energy regulations.
The role involves performing daily tasks specific to the assigned job title, including planning, executing, and overseeing projects and tasks relevant to the department.
- Lead projects from pre-construction (feasibility and design) through construction to final commissioning and handover.
- Act as the primary interface between clients, internal engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Develop and monitor project budgets, manage variation orders (VO), and use tools like MS Project or Primavera to track milestones.
- Review engineering drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams to ensure technical quality and compliance with local standards.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, civil, or mechanical engineering.
- Certifications like the SEDA Grid-Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) Design course are an added advantage.
- Most roles require at least five years of experience in renewable energy or infrastructure project management.
- Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera and basic knowledge of solar design software like PVsyst or AutoCAD
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to address challenges effectively.
- Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Passion for continuous learning and professional growth in the field.
