Job Description
QM / QA ENGINEER
Location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan
Salary: RM4,500–RM6,000 per month
MYFutureJobs Negeri Sembilan is sourcing candidates for a QM / QA Engineer position based in Nilai.
This role is responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving the organisation's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) requirements and supporting customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will coordinate quality initiatives across departments, lead audit activities and drive improvements in processes and quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Management System
- Develop, implement and maintain the QMS in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including ISO 9001.
- Work with Heads of Department to establish and update quality policies, procedures and supporting documentation.
2. Audits and Compliance
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits to assess compliance with QMS and QA requirements.
- Liaise with certification bodies on audits and certification activities.
- Initiate and follow up on corrective and preventive actions arising from audit findings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable BSCI requirements.
3. Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to processes, products and services.
- Lead cross-functional teams in quality improvement projects.
- Monitor quality KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
4. Training and Quality Awareness
- Monitor training programmes to ensure employees understand and comply with QMS and QA requirements.
- Communicate quality requirements across all levels of the organisation.
- Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement.
5. Supplier Quality
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to establish and maintain supplier quality management processes.
- Conduct regular supplier assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
6. Documentation, Reporting and Risk Management
- Maintain accurate and updated QMS and QA records.
- Prepare reports on quality performance, compliance and improvement initiatives for senior management.
- Work with Heads of Department to identify, assess and mitigate risks affecting the QMS.
- Provide leadership to integrate quality requirements into departmental operations.
Requirements
- Degree in Science, Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial or a related field.
- Preferably 2–4 years of relevant working experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems, quality inspection, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Experience in leading and managing teams.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
